In North Caroline County, authorities have announced a curfew from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m., starting Sunday night, after two power substations were damaged by gunfire. This incident would lead to the loss of power to almost 40,000 customers in North Carolina. Gov. Roy Cooper wrote on Twitter An attack like this on critical infrastructure is a serious, intentional crime, and I expect state and federal authorities to thoroughly investigate and bring those responsible to justice. Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields noted that the FBI was working with state investigators to determine who was responsible.
